Our Mission - To provide a safe, enriching environment for our Little Bloomers to learn and sprout into healthy, growing individuals with a biblical basis of values taught through the word of God.
About Us
Director, Maggie Walker and assistant director, Katie Smith have worked in the child care field for a combined total of more than 35 years. When their former place of employment closed down God opened many doors and led them to open a child care ministry in their home church.
Little Bloomers officially opened it's doors on June 3, 2013 and has been growing ever since!
Little Bloomers provides daily care for children ages 6 weeks through 4th grade, with a biblical preschool curriculum taught. After being open for just over a year, Little Bloomers became the second registered ministry in Delaware County to obtain their VCP (Voluntary Certification Program). This opened the doors to many great opportunities of providing even better child care for the community, as well as joining Indiana's voluntary ranking system Paths to Quality. Little Bloomers is currently a Level 3, which allowed us to join the On My Way Pre-K program to provide a great learning experience for children preparing for kindergarten. In addition, Little Bloomers is enrolled in the Child and Adult Food Care Program. This program helps us to provide more nutritious meal options for the children. Last but not least, Little Bloomers is a CCDF provider.
After being open for 7 1/2 years it was time for more growth. We opened the church's fellowship hall as a second facility, Little Bloomers 2! This allowed us to grow our program more, freeing up a classroom in Little Bloomers. As well as giving our school age program some much needed room to grow! Little Bloomers 2 is a registered child care ministry and CCDF provider.
Our Philosophy - To see that every child that walks through our doors encounters biblically based developmentally appropriate practices, builds character and knowledge, becomes active and healthy, and becomes involved in our community. Through our program, teachers are able to support each child through critical stages of emotional, cognitive, social and physical development. We want each of our Little Bloomers to sprout into beautiful, God loving individuals.
